Athabasca Watershed Council
- Establish a Watershed Planning and Advisory Council for the Athabasca watershed by 2012
- Complete a watershed management plan by 2019
Current Status:
The Initial General Meeting of the Athabasca Watershed Council was held on November 28, 2009 and the first Board of Directors was elected. The new Board members include;

On February 2, 2010, the Athabasca Watershed Council was designated by Alberta Environment as the 10th WPAC in Alberta. Over the next year, preliminary work on a State of the Watershed report will begin. Time and effort will also be directed to raising the profile of the Athabasca Watershed Council and making it a fully functional organization.
